Claiming concerns that, as he puts it, “the ecology of writing novels wouldn’t be able to exist if I’m in daily contact,” he’s planning to discontinue the [blog](http://www.williamgibsonbooks.com/blog/blog.asp) he started earlier in the year to coincide with the release of [Pattern Recognition](http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?isbn=0399149864).
