Yesterday’s prompt:

> Friendship. How has a friend changed you or your perspective on the world this year? Was this change gradual, or a sudden burst?

This one’s short but sweet: R. and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary. He’s my best friend, the best friend I could ever have asked for, and he’s changed the way I see everything. Not least of all myself.

We’re headed to Prague for Christmas (a repeat of a trip we took there [this time four years ago](/merry-christmas-from-prague/)) and to Dublin for New Year’s (a new city for both of us). There’s no one I’d rather see the world with, this year, and for many more to come.
