Note: Thank you so much. I'm delighted to have the opportunity to welcome you to East Lansing, to Michigan State University, and to Wells Hall. Wells is a key bit of infrastructure for the College of Arts & Letters, housing several of our departments and a whole lot of our classes, and like a whole lot of infrastructures, we mostly don't pay it a lot of attention until things go wrong.
