For the sixth year running, and despite having reminded myself about it two days ago, I’ve once again missed the anniversary of starting Planned Obsolescence. (Witness: [five](/five/), [four](/2006/06/), [three](/anniversaries/), [two](/2004/06/), [one](/oops-2/), though of course two and four are cheating, linking to what surrounds what’s not there.) I’m mildly astonished that it’s still going, and even more so that anybody’s still around. Here’s hoping for more years of spurts of productivity interrupted by long stretches of silence.
